Broken Drum Records is based in London, England, and has been releasing music since 1988, starting out as part of the tape-trader scene. Now, BDR is a netlabel dedicated to creating and promoting excellent, globally-influenced bass-driven music. We mix dubstep and dub, drum’n’bass and breakbeat with Central Asian, Arabian, Turkish, South Asian and Far Eastern influences, exploring non-Western rhythms, tuning systems and sounds. Our main artists are Secret Archives of the Vatican and Thousand Yard Prayer.
