Prism - Voyage To Pluto (Netlabel Day Mixes) (Toucan Music)

Artist: Prism
Title: Voyage To Pluto (Netlabel Day Mixes)
Label: Toucan Music

This is one of two releases for Netlabel Day 2015 from Toucan Music. 14th July 2015 marks two big occasions - the first Netlabel Day will take place on the same day that the dwarf planet Pluto will be visited for the first time as the New Horizons spacecraft makes its closest approach. This provides us with the perfect opportunity to revisit Voyage To Pluto, one of our oldest and most successful Toucan Music tracks.

Starting life back in 1997 as a UK trancecore track, the uplifting Dreamworld remix of 2005 proved one of our highlights of the last decade and only narrowly missed out on featuring in our top 20 downloaded tracks chart of all time. For 2015, Psychadelik Pedestrian reduces the tempo to produce two new atmospheric mixes, combining the original spaced out trance sounds with crisp beats, dubstep bass sounds and lush, haunting pads and reverb.

An extended version of this release will feature on our website later in July and include the Dreamworld remix which gave the track such exposure in the first place, and a remastered version of the original mix as a nod to our frenetic rave roots.

DJ Prism was a UK hardcore and trancecore artist producing between 1996 and 2000, and later for Toucan Music and BDW Rekordings between 2007 and 2012. Psychadelik Pedestrian is a UK electronic music producer specialising in uplifting melodic soundscapes and blending the genres of chillout, trance, drum and bass and dubstep.

Although producing music since 1994, Psychadelik Pedestrian kept a relatively low profile until the release of his 2008 self-titled debut album and the successful 2011 follow-up Transient, which was featured on both CCMixter and the Free Music Archive.
